Making the web adventure was fairly straightforward due to Wix's intuitive tools for linking pages together. The most difficult part was making enough images and gifs to create multiple paths for users to play through Looking back, I wish I had made a more linear web adventure so that the playthrough could feel longer. Initially, when thinking of ideas for this project I wanted to mess around with the code features that Wix offers, but I decided that this would get too complicated. I like the idea of creating a web game in the future and I think this project was a good first step in making something more complicated later on. I enjoyed using stick figures as the characters of my web adventure. The best part about using this style was that it allowed me to easily animate multiple different characters of my design rather than editing images I found online. The images I did find online were not the centerpieces of any of the pages I made which I feel makes my web adventure feel more original. Making gifs was a satisfying process, however, I feel like the Photoshop timeline feature mixed with layers is lacking in some ways. There has to be better software for making GIFS specifically out there. Aside from having some longer storylines, I was happy with how the web adventure turned out. The game over screens was easily the most fun part of making the web adventure. My favorite GIF that I created is the one where you sneak up on the guard and when you kill him the screen flashes. This felt like a creative way to portray the scene because I avoided having to animate some time costly sequences. I utilized this again in the GIF where the homies kill you. Overall the project was a success and I learned a lot!
